Estate Planning

“Take a method and try it. If it fails, admit it frankly, and try another. But by all means TRY SOMETHING.”   -Franklin Roosevelt

ccestatelogoOur experienced estate planning attorneys are committed to helping our clients plan for the future by implementing plans that protect, preserve, and control their assets in the manner they see fit.

Our estate planning services include the preparation of:

Wills: Having a Will in place will make dealing with the death of a loved one significantly easier. When you create a Will, it simplifies the process of how the assets will be distributed by providing instructions on how to do so.

Living Trusts: If you want to avoid the expensive and time-consuming process of probate (authenticating a Last Will and Testament), having a Living Trust is a great option. Although it must be managed and funded in order to distribute your assets at the time of your passing, it helps keep your affairs private after death.

Powers of Attorney: With our Power of Attorney services, you can appoint someone to manage your affairs and act on your behalf in the unfortunate event that you can no longer do so, or until you are able to once again. This includes, property, assets, financial, and medical decisions.

Trust Preparation (including minor and adult beneficiaries): When creating a Trust, the main things you will need to do are:

  • Compile a list of all the assets in your estate

  • Appoint beneficiaries and your successor trustee

  • Designate guardianship for minors (if you have children)

The most important thing to keep in mind is that estate planning is an ongoing process. Your familial, financial, and medical situations can change at a moments notice. When that happens, it is important to revisit your estate plan and update it accordingly. D’Amico Law, PC will do everything we can to simplify the process and make it as easy as possible for you to manage.
